Utah Tree Trimming and Pruning
Tree and Shrub Trimming Utah
The way a tree is pruned can depend on the type of trees and the circumstances of the project. There are general ways regarding the time of year, different types, and even frequency of pruning, in cities with both residential and commercial properties, rich in trees, the work performed should be adjusted to each situation. The goals for each tree or depending on what the owner expects should all be within reason as to not cause permanent damage to a tree or surrounding vegetation.
Many asked question about tree Pruning include:
When should I know my trees need pruning? Most mature trees, if not all, in an urban environment need regular trimming and pruning to maintain their health. On average trees should be pruned every 2-6 years. BUT, this can depend on several factors. Our experts can calculate the last time a tree was probably pruned and recommend a pruning schedule.
How often should my trees need pruning? In most common trees can be pruned every 3-4 years. With some types of trees it can be every year, especially with certain or special circumstances arise. This could be because light poles need to be visible from leaves and branches and require yearly trimming and pruning to ensure this occurs.
What if my trees and shrubs have been topped or unproperly maintained, can you fix them? The answer is no, we can't undo what has already been cut off. Your trees won't grow back to where it may have previously been, but we can, over period of years reverse part of the damage and help return your trees to a healthy and viable situation.
My neighbor's trees are crossing my property line what can I do? If your neighbor's trees are truly an issue or threat, we often recommend you try and work something out with them. That said, there are a few things you can do to make them remedy the situation. You can bring it to the city's attention by haveing and arborist submit a report on the trees. In certain cases the city can order it removed or at the very least trimmed back from your property. You can also report the tree issue to their homeowners' insurance company, or if you are in an HOA they can often force the removal or pruning back of the trees in question. But we cannot stress enough trying to talk with your neighbors first and how much better situations can work themselves out if you and your neighbor work out some agreement first.
